An Innovative National Research Opportunity for CCBHCs

Learn how your agency can help advance national understanding of the CCBHC model through academic research.

A collaborative research project with the University of Maryland to better understand how the CCBHC model impacts communities.

Announcing a new national research partnership to understand the impact of CCBHCs.

Mission Driven Data and the University of Maryland are collaborating on a first-of-its-kind effort to understand how CCBHCs meet the needs of individuals experiencing crisis, and the impact of those crisis services.

A national effort to understand how CCBHCs deliver crisis care and how those services shape community outcomes.

Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics [CCBHCs] are community-based providers that fulfill federal criteria related to the delivery of a comprehensive range of mental health and substance use disorder services. CCBHCs are expanding access to mental health and substance use services across the country, especially for people in crisis. Yet there is still limited national data on how crisis services evolve within the CCBHC model. This study brings together real-world data from clinics in diverse regions and stages of the CCBHC journey to help expand our understanding of the CCBHC model.

By examining patterns in crisis service delivery and engagement, the research aims to clarify how CCBHCs support individuals in crisis and how those efforts impact the populations they serve. Our goal is to contribute to a greater understanding of the model and its impact.
